Up to 5 Trillion Naira is Reportedly Stolen Under President Goodluck Jonathan Administration In Less Than 2 Years In Office

The government of Nigeria under President Goodluck Jonathan has been investigated not to be free of some fraudulent activities ever since they assumed office in May 2011, according to the Punch independent investigation team of experts. There is massive financial misappropriation running into the tune of about 5 Trillion naira according to the Punch.

Most of the embezzled fund was from the oil proceed, telecommunication sector through Sim Card registration according to former Economic and Financial crime commission boss (EFCC) Nuru Ribadu.

According to Nuru Ribadu, the daily amount investigated to be stolen is not less than 6 Billion naira from crude oil proceed spanning across Present administration reign in office in less than two years.

Part of the fraud investigated was that from the House of Representative Committee on Environment which on its own is up to 2 Billion naira fraudulently awarded by the office of Ecological fund.
